Just wanted to post this cause I thought it was pretty hilarious. It's a picture of Morgan in a duel with an alien king..... dun dun dun. Our assignment was to take a photo that we wanted to screenprint and do something with that, so this is going to be halftoned and turned into a photo screen print. But I kind of like it like this too!

Things
Updates! I've been a busy little beeeee.
Here's some sort of lo-res process shots of how my fabric portraits are going:

Here are all the cut pieces laid out.
Done some beadwork,
a little detail. Those hip bustle things are made of green stretch velvet that are stuffed a tiny bit underneath.
Mah messy studio.
Here are some things i've been doing in screen print:

These are twelve of my favorites out of about twenty monoprints of this one. This queen's an evil witch queen (however she ended up being more adorable than evil) :-)
These are two different editions of my 5-headed queen, one done in CMYK and one done in random colors of my choice. I like to think of this one and the queen above as a sort of Wicked Witch of the West/Glinda the Good Witch pair.

New!
Helloooooo, it's been a while since the last art update. Well, I've been busy here doing this and that (everything) and I wanted to share my first screen print with y'all.
This first print is called "What Goes Around." This is the first run:

and this is the second, infinitely more complicated run (the colors are a little off - the yellow is not quite so overpowering in the physical one):

But yeah. Screen printing is fun!
this next thing is just the positive image that is going to be turned into my next screen print, but I kind of enjoyed it how it looks as ink on mylar:

This image fits in with my thesis project, which I shall inform you on in a separate post when I have more concrete drawings to update you on.

New Pryntz
Here is some of my brand new print work - i'm trying out this new thing called "updating my blog while things are actually happening." ha ha.
This one is my very first etching!
This one is drypoint on PVC then relief rolled.
This is the same as above, but i cut the pvc and made shapes. this one is a bitch to print. you kind of have to look at it up close to see what's going on.... but it was my first time trying this process so i'm proud of it anyway. Haha.

These are just a couple of my prints! Sorry for the bad picture quality, I haven't had the time to get really quality pictures of them yet. but hopefully from these you'll get the idea.

More monotypes!
This is a very small number of the things that I have produced for that class, and I'll update with more later :)
