I did some sketching in my little "YOU'RE NEXT" sketchbook from ICON :) Unfortunately, it was not under the best circumstances, as I sketched my grandpa in the hospital bed and my dad in

the waiting room.

Alice Neel

Here are some studies I did of Alice Neel paintings I was fortunate enough to see when I was in Venice beach at the L.A. Louver Gallery: (edit: ICK, i saw this on another computer and noticed that the colors are all purple and stuff. My scanner sucks :( )

I really love Alice Neel. Her paintings have such an organic quality and ease to them that I really admire.

ICONFEST

Sorry for the lack of updates... Summer's been pretty unproductive. However, recently i've been super productive! I think ICON inspired me.

That said, I've just spent the past week volunteering at ICON6: Sunny Side Up in Pasadena! It was a great week, I really had a blast meeting all kinds of people and getting inspired by great illustrators. I just wanted to update with some sketches in my sketchbook that i've been doing this summer!
